Gallerist and interior designer Kyle Timothy Blood ’90 opened KTFA this June to serve as Hanover’s premier fine-art gallery and to feature work by Dartmouth alumni working in the visual arts. We are thrilled to be hosting our September speaker event in this new venue on Main Street alongside the showcased works by renowned international, national, and regional artists.
Blood earned his BA from Dartmouth College (French modified with Art History) and certification (ASID Allied) from the New York School of Interior Design. He taught English outside of Paris on a Fulbright Assistantship before working in publishing for a decade. He has operated his boutique interior-design firm, Kyle Timothy Home, based in East Hampton, NY, since 2005 and is also the proprietor and gallerist of Details Fine Art Gallery in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Come hear from Kyle about his path back to the Upper Valley and his vision for the gallery. Joining him will be three artists whose work is currently featured:
Ruth Douzinas ’98 is an artist based in New York City with a background in environmental engineering. She primarily makes ceramic sculpture and also works with fiber and found materials.
KT Taylor ’97 creates large-scale bronze and stainless-steel sculptures that explore the intersection of wildlife, place, and texture. Born and raised in West Texas, she draws inspiration from the natural world and from the patterns that surround us in everyday life.
Daniel Heyman ’85 makes paintings, prints, and drawings and works directly with paper fiber to create paper pulp paintings. His work addresses a variety of subjects, including the landscape, human rights, and the coming climate change crisis.
