This past fall term Prof. Charlie Wheelan’s public policy class studied the conflicts and tensions in the South American country of Colombia. During several weeks of “winterim” (Christmas break), the class traveled to Colombia to speak with government officials, journalists, opposition leaders, guerrillas, and citizens impacted by the conflicts in the country. At the conclusion of this exercise in experiential learning, they produced a report that Prof. Wheelan, Io Jones ’19, and Mark Daniels ’19 will be sharing with us. Note: This month’s reception will take place after our presentation.
